Group Project

Today we started putting all of our hard work together! We used Windows Movie Maker to add our clips, sound, titles, credits, and transitions. We are more than halfway done! It was so easy to describe to the students and once again they easily were able to work independently. They love the idea of adding credits and a title page and had a great time playing around with transitions. I wish the computer lab was free more. It is only free Monday morning for the first two periods and time just flew by. I am trying to set up additional time in the classroom but only having one computer makes that difficult.

Group Project

Hello! This past week we worked on our movies. We attended the computer lab and captured images to put into our still movie. Then we printed them and pasted them in order on a story board. Next we brainstormed the wording for the movie and reviewed it with a peer. Then we wrote it in the storyboard. Next we recorded our voices on the computer, it is going so great so far! The kids read with great expression and were able to use the Audacity program on their own.

Group Project

I began my movie making process last week with my reading and language arts group. I have 6 students who range in interests and strengths but I knew (and hoped) they would all enjoy this. We began by brainstorming topics of interest for a personal still movie. We talked about the components of the movie and I let them ask any questions they had.

The following Monday (March 30th) we went to the computer lab to search for images on Google. It went great! I had set up folders for them ahead of time and showed them what to do once and they were off. This is quite an accomplishment, only having to give directions once for my students! They all collected at least 6 images for a possible story. They were all motivate and inspired!
